This one has some interesting, strange twists and turns. Billy is going to summer camp at Camp Nightmoon. Strange things begin to happen even on the bus ride to camp. Things get even stranger and scarier as the days go by and campers start disappearing. Billy wonders what is really going on here at Camp Nightmoon. The ending is not what I expected. The story takes an unexpected turn at the very end.

This is one of Nora Roberts early paperback romances that I found on audio to listen to in the car.  You can definitely tell it was written in the early 80s.  There is no mention of technology and the views of men and women's relationships is very outdated.  I wasn't very impressed with this early effort by Nora Roberts as it didn't age well at all.

Perry Eckert has no friends, is obsessed with his role-playing D&D-like game, and is outraged to find that his parents are sending him to a summer camp in the hope of socializing him.  But once he arrives at the camp, he finds a way into his D&D-like game- a world where he isn't a nerd, girls talk to him, and he is a tough guy.

This young adult book is both funny and cringe-inducing at times, and might resonate with teenage boys.  It ends with potential for a sequel, but with the author's recent death, I don't think we'll be seeing that...
