Thoughts: I have now read all of the original Goosebumps series! This one is pretty good. This is a new, different kind of Monster Blood that grows and multiplies. Evan, Kermit, and Andy are in for a big surprise. This one has a fun ending like many of the others in the series.

From someone who says he lives in Marco's basement...

Thoughts: It was interesting reading the British edition of this book. This one is a trippy story with a surprising twist at the end. Although, I should have expected the twist since it's similar to other books in this series. Overall, this was a pretty good read.

Poor Alex. He just wanted to take a couple of pictures. But now he's about to find out the secret of Wolf Creek. Late one night. When the moon is full...

Thoughts: This is a good read. The mystery of who are werewolves is somewhat shocking and so is the ending. This is one of my favorites that I've read so far in this series.

Poor Matt. He should have listened to his mom. Because when Matt wakes up, his whole life has changed. For the worse. And every time he falls asleep, he wakes up in a new nightmare....

Thoughts: This one is pretty good. Matt Amsterdam ends up in a reality loop and wakes in a new reality each morning. Will he ever get out of the loop? I enjoyed reading this one.

Because now something really weird has happened. Crystal's lips have turned as hard as a bird's beak. And Cole has started growing ugly white feathers all over his body....

Thoughts: This one is a decent read. It's actually more funny than scary, although it would be kind of scary to be turned into a chicken for real. The reasoning behind the person turning Cole and Crystal into chickens is pretty thin, though. Overall, not a bad read, but not my favorite in the series by a long shot.

Poor Jack. He wanted to get back at Wilson. But now that Jack's learned how to fly, things down on earth are getting really scary....

Thoughts: This one is pretty good. I liked the dynamics between Jack and Wilson and them trying to one-up each other. Jack isn't normally competitive but Wilson just gets on his nerves. The ending is pretty good, also.

But somehow Ricky's message gets messed up. And now he's getting calls. Strange calls from kids who say they are creeps. Creeps with scaly purple skin. And long sharp fangs...

Thoughts: This one is decent. It's not one of my favorites in this series. I do like the ending, though.

Poor Freddy and Cara. They should have never opened that bottle of Vampire Breath. Because now there's a vampire in Freddy's basement. And he's very, very thirsty....

Thoughts: Freddy and Cara end up going back in time to a vampire's castle in the late 1800s. There are dozens of vampires living there and all of them are so thirsty. Will they escape back to the future and Freddy's basement? This one has a pretty good twist at the end that actually makes sense, too. I liked this one.

Billy and Sheena are great swimmers. But even great swimmers get into trouble — especially this year. This year there's something really scary going on under the sea. The fish all seem to be growing. Bigger and bigger. Into monster-size sea creatures. With monster-size appetites . . .

Thoughts: Sheena and Billy Deep are back along with Dr. D, their uncle, for another adventure. This time they discover giant fish and other giant marine animals. Why are they all so big? This one isn't quite as good as their first one, but it's still a decent read.

Thoughts: This was a fun read. This one isn't a typical Goosebumps exactly. It's part fantasy, part horror, and just plain fun. I didn't expect mermaids when I began reading this book.

Until Larry notices the hair. Dark spiky hair growing on his hands and face. Really gross shiny hair.

Hair that keeps growing back even after he shaves it off....

Thoughts: This wasn't one of my favorites in this series, but it was still a fun read. The reveal at the end was interesting and a bit surprising (although it probably shouldn't have been). Overall, I continue to enjoy reading Goosebumps books for the monthly challenge.

 Skipper Matthews has an awesome comic book collection. His favorite one is called The Masked Mutant. It's about an evil super villain who's out to rule the universe!

Skipper can't get enough of The Mutant. Until one day he gets lost in a strange part of town. And finds a building that looks exactly like The Mutant's secret headquarters. A building that appears and disappears.

Has Skipper read one too many comic books? Or does The Masked Mutant really live in Riverview Falls?

Thoughts: I enjoyed reading this one quite a bit. I like comics and this one features a boy who collects them and reads the new issue of "The Masked Mutant" every week. This was one of my favorite in the Goosebumps series that I've read so far.

What's a worm lover to do when his own worms are starting to gross him out?

Thoughts: This was alright. It wasn't my favorite Goosebumps book, but not bad. It's definitely one of the least scary (although none are too scary). I'm not mad that I read it, though.

But now Sammy's met someone who's totally unreal. He's hanging out in Sammy's room. And eating his cereal at breakfast. Sammy's got to find a way to get rid of his new "friend." Only problem is...Sammy's new "friend" is invisible!

Thoughts: This was fun, especially the twist at the end. Stine is pretty good at twists. I wouldn't say this is very scary reading it now, but it's still fun.

Thoughts: This was a fun read. These books aren't really scary for adults, but they could be for some kids. I like how there's always an event at the end of the book that leaves the story open-ended.

Eddie, Hat, Molly, and Charlene are intent on scaring Courtney. She seems so unflappable and perfect. She always has to be first and is never scared of anything. They think they have a good idea of how to scare her, but each idea goes horribly wrong. They try a rubber snake, a live tarantula, and a St. Bernard and each backfires badly. They have one last idea they think has to work. There's a local legend about Mud Monsters near the creek in the woods. They plan to use that legend to scare Courtney. Will their plan work or will this one go horribly awry like all their previous plans? I enjoyed this one and I've enjoyed reading as many Goosebumps as possible this month.

Steve Boswell really, really wants the scariest mask he can find this Halloween. He's had it with the first graders for whom he coaches soccer. They are absolute animals! He wants to scare them out of their wits this Halloween! He remembers that Carly Beth had a really scary mask last Halloween so he asks her where she got hers. She doesn't want to answer, but finally tells Steve after some persuasion. She warns him that there was something weird about her mask and that she couldn't get it off, however. Steve is so bent on revenge that he doesn't care and doesn't listen to Carly Beth. He ends up finding a really scary mask that looks like a creepy old man in the basement of the party store where Carly Beth got her mask that's now closed. However, when he puts the mask on the night before Halloween he realizes that he can't get it off! Carly Beth was right. He's now a creepy old man! How is he going to get the mask off? Will he even scare the first graders like he wants? I enjoyed this one.

They just moved to the village from Chicago. Upon arrival in the village, Jaclyn notices strange snowmen in every driveway. She wonders what's going on with that. Rolonda and Eli live near Jaclyn and her aunt in the village and they tell her a story about a live snowman who haunts the village. The snowman lives in an ice cave at the top of the mountain. Is there really a snowman living in an ice cave at the top of the mountain? Just what did happen to Jaclyn's dad? I really liked this one.

Erin and Marty will be the first two kids to experience this new thrill ride. On the ride, the creatures and frights seem all too real. Marty and Erin start to get really scared. Will they escape from the ride? There's an unexpected twist at the end, like there is in other Stine Goosebumps books. I enjoyed this one.

She tries to get her parents, her brother, and her friends to believe that Mr. Mortman really is a monster, but to no avail. Will she make everyone believe her? What will happen if and when she does? I enjoyed this one.
