Book four in the walk series and I am so excited to continue with this series.  This one was even more interesting to me because he is walking through Missouri and especially St. Louis and south.  So many of the areas were familiar to me.  His story hits a low when he is diagnosed with a brain tumor, but after his treatment he returns right back to his walk. Now I can't wait to read the last book in the series.

This is the third book in the series and I am hooked.  I must know how it ends.  Alan Christoffersen lost his wife, home and business at the same time; so he took off walking across America.  He has made it from Seattle to St. Louis so far in this book and met so many interesting people along the way.  I can't wait to see how his story ends and what kind of ending the author will write.

I read The Walk, not knowing it was a series.  When the book ended I was sad because I wanted to know what happened to him. So I was very excited to find the next book and now know that it is a series.  This story picks up after Alex has decided to walk across America after losing everything.  He was attacked and assumed for dead.  This book tells of his story of recovery and where he picks up on his walk, the people he meets along and the way and how he helps them and they help him. Very easy read and a page turned to find out what he will encounter next.

This book was patterned after the Prodigal Son Story in the Bible.  It was cool to make the connections with modern day analogies.  Very easy read, yes I know it is not winter or December!! I was not thrilled with the ending. I loved the part where he reunites with his father, but the actually ending seemed to be rushed and the story didn't seem to have any closer. But I would recommend it to anyone who wants to read about a Bible story in modern day times.

This book had me intrigued at the beginning and I wasn't sure I would like it, but the more I read the more interested I became.  Losing everything affects different people in different ways.  I enjoyed this book.

Noel Street by Richard Paul Evans

The story is told through Elles diary.  The year is 1975.  She is raising her son alone after her husband was killed in Vietnam.  A mysterious army man arrives in town and through a series of events the two collide and lives are changes.

Though a little sappy at times, his books are always a sweet, easy read.  I enjoyed it.

Reading only the last book in a series is a strange experience, but this year I'm reading through books I own that I've never read.  I'm really not sure how this one ended up on my shelf.  I thought it was a pretty good inspirational fiction tale, and I may go back and read the first in the series to get a feel for the tragedies that led him on his walk.
