Princess: A Private Novel by James Patterson and Rees Jones, 384 pages
Princess is the fourteenth book in the Private series by James Patterson. I have read all the books in the series and found this book a little boring and more like reading two books. The first half of the book Jack Morgan of Private has been hired by Princess Caroline, third in line to the British throne, to find a very close friend. With the help of Peter Knight of Private London, Jack will discover the Princess is not telling him everything. The second part of the story someone is out to get Private London and Jack Morgan. The earlier books in the Private series are much better.

Private Gold By James Patterson with Jassy MacKenzie
Private Gold by James Patterson with Jassy MacKenzie, 128 pages
Joey Montague is a detective with the agency Private Johannesburg. When his partner mysteriously turns up dead from an apparant suicide, Joey takes on the job of protecting American Isobel Collins. Can Joey find out who is after Isobel and why before it is too late? Private Gold is part of the other Private series by James Patterson, but is about half the length.

Private Paris by James Patterson and Mark Sullivan
Private Paris by James Patterson and Mark Sullivan, 540 pages
I believe this is the tenth book in the Private series. I have read all of the books in the series, and I have to say Private Paris was probably my least favorite. Maybe, I felt it hit to close to reality with the recent attacks on Paris. In Private Paris, Jack Morgan, founder of Private, has to track down the granddaughter of one of his clients. The granddaughter is on the run from drug dealers. Meanwhile, Jack has to find who is murdering the cultured elite of Paris. Graffiti found throughout the city links the murders to rising religious and ethnic tensions.

Private LA by James Patterson and Mark Sullivan
Private LA by James Patterson & Mark Sullivan, 425 pages
This is the latest in the Private series by James Patterson. Private LA is book number six in the series. I have to admit some of Patterson's plot complications turn out to be sick and twisted, and this was no exception. Though, the twist comes more towards the end, so the reader has to wait be shocked. The story is full of action and suspense. Jack Morgan, head of Private, has to find famous Hollywood couple Thom and Jennifer Harlow who along with their three children have gone missing. When the kids turn up at a mall, Jack, Justine, and the rest of his crew are left to solve the mystery of what happened to the parents. While tracking down the couple, Jack also has to find out who is brutally killing random people in LA with the calling card No Prisoners. Each day, the killer or killers increase the number murdered by one until their huge ransom is paid. This book does not disappoint.
