St. Patrick's Day Murder by Leslie Meier

St. Patrick's Day Murder by Leslie Meier, 280 pages

What could be better than reading a cozy St. Patrick's Day mystery in the month of March?  Leslie Meier writes the Lucy Stone Mystery books that are what I call a warm cozy read.  In this book, the town of Tinker's Cove is putting on an Irish play with the help of Irish director Dylan Malone.  But when he comes to town and finds his brother Dan has been murdered, it becomes more than just a simple task.  Dan's body is found in the ocean missing his head. When Dylan later turns up attacked, the weapon used is shocking.  Can Lucy help the local police department solve the murder before the killer comes after Dylan's wife and daughter?

Candy Corn Murder by Leslie Meier

Candy Corn Murder by Leslie Meier, 248 pages

This is another Lucy Stone mystery by Leslie Meier.  I love her books because they are just light, cozy mystery reads.  In this latest mystery, it is the annual Pumpkin Fest in Tinker's Cove, Maine, and someone has killed Lucy's husband's friend, Evan.  While managing her job and her duties as mother, as well as volunteering to help with the annual mitten drive and the Pumpkin Fest, Lucy is determined to prove her husband's innocence.  What follows is a revealing look into the past history of the local store, Country Cousins.

Star Spangled Murder by Leslie Meier

Star Spangled Murder by Leslie Meier, 234 pages

In this cozy murder mystery, Lucy Stone has to figure out who murdered her neighbor Prudence.  Lucy's summer is crazy with her dog causing havoc and then being killed by a hit and run driver.  On top of all this, the fireworks and the Fourth of July parade have been canceled. What will the small tourist town of Tinker's Cove do?  All this centers around the nudists taking over the town. What will Lucy do?  Star Spangled Murder is a light summer read that is beach worthy.

Wedding Day Murder by Leslie Meier

Wedding Day Murder by Leslie Meier, 234 pages

What could be more appropriate then to read a wedding murder mystery book at the start of peak wedding season? Leslie Meier writes a holiday cozy murder mystery series with Lucy Stone as her heroine.   Lucy has a way of getting involved in situations she should not, which inevitably ends in her solving a murder mystery of some type.  Her sleuthing usually comes in handy as she is a reporter for the local paper called the Pennysaver in Tinker's Cove, Maine.  In this book, Lucy has to solve the mystery of who killed the out of town groom who just also happens to be the future son-in-law of Lucy's close friend.  Lucy does all this while managing a household of four children and a husband who would prefer a stay at home wife.  This is a very light (even lighter when read on a Kindle) and entertaining read!!
