Little Mommy

Little Mommy by Sharon Kane 24 pages
Little Mommy (Little Golden Book): Kane, Sharon, Kane, Sharon ...
Little mommy is about a little girl taking care of her baby dolls throughout the day just like a real mommy would.

As I was looking on goodreads to find the page count for this book, I noticed a lot of hate on it because of the "gender roles." This made me so sad. The book was published in 1967, a product of its time. My daughter loves taking care of her dolls. It is a cute book and should be taken as such.

Everything I Need To Know I Learned From A Disney Little Golden Book by Diane Muldrow

Everything I Need To Know I Learned From A Disney Little Golden Book by Diane Muldrow, 96 pages

This book is basically a guide to live your life the Disney way.  What could be wrong with that?  With excerpts from Disney Little Golden Books, this book puts together a very magical way to live life.  From Frozen to Cinderella from Monsters Inc. to Toy Story, she incorporates almost every Disney story you could think of.  Diane Muldrow has written other Everything I Need to Know Books geared to adults and I find them to be quite inspirational.  I also think the books make great gifts (this one especially for a fan of Fantasyland at Disney World).

Batman! (DC Super Friends) Little Golden Book by Billy Wrecks and Ethan Beavers, 24 pages

Not only does my six year old nephew love reading these superhero books, I do too!!  Batman! gives a description of Batman aimed towards young readers.  Whereas Superman relies on special powers, Batman relies on his brains and special gadgets like the Batmobile and Batcave.  Batman also has a sidekick named Robin,

Flower Power! (DC Super Friends) Little Golden Book by Courtney Carbone, Illustrated by Dan Schoening

Flower Power! (DC Super Friends) Little Golden Book by Courtney Carbone, Illustrated by Dan Schoening, 23 pages

I am so glad to see Super Hero books being written for a new generation. And, who can resist a Little Golden Book.  These books can be read over and over by both children and adults,  In Flower Power, Wonder Women and Batgirl have to save the Botanical Gardens from the Wrath of Poison Ivy.  This is a great introduction for children to the super friends.
