Dry Bones by Craig Johnson

Dry Bones by Craig Johnson - 320 pages
A Walt Longmire Mystery

This book series and the tv show have diverged and both are good in different ways.  This story doesn't seem as nuanced as in previous books and reads more like an episode of the show.  The most complete T-rex skeleton ever found shows up in Longmire's jurisdiction along with a murder on the same property.  This leads to a trail of lies and family in-fighting over who truly owns the bones.  It was interesting to learn about fossil laws and the role of the federal government in their protection.  A good read but not the best from the series.
