(Hex Hall series spin-off)
We met monster hunter, Izzy Brannick, in the "final" book of the Hex Hall series. In the beginning of the book we learn that her older sister, Finley, has been kidnapped. While mom searches for clues on Finley's disappearance, Izzy is enrolled in a human high school to solve the school's haunting problem. The haunting turns into a bigger problem than anticipated and Izzy will need all the help she can get from her new friends to solve the mystery behind the angry ghost before people start dying. Will she succeed in banishing the ghost? The story was a very quick read that left a few unanswered questions. Like the previous series, this book has an open ending which means the author will be turning this into a series as well. There is a little teenage romance, a little action and a whole lot of teenage drama.
