Back to School Murder by Leslie Meier, 268 pages
I love Leslie Meier's character Lucy Stone. She solves crimes while trying to raise her family in Tinker's Cove, Maine. I have read a dozen of her books usually named after holidays or yearly events. This book takes place at back to school time, which of course occurs in the fall. In this book, Lucy has to find out who set off a bomb at the elementary school and why. While no one is hurt in the explosion, Carol Crane, the new assistant principal is labeled a hero when one of the handicap students has to be rescued by Carol.. A few days later, Carol is murdered in her apartment. Now, Lucy must find out who murdered Carol and why. All this she does while starting a new job at the local newspaper and juggling four kids and a husband.
