Keeping the Castle by Patrice Kindl - 261 pages
Keeping the Castle is billed as a Pride & Prejudice novel but no where within the pages does it even remotely smack of that awesome novel. However, the book is a fun and light read. The main character will do anything to save her "castle" for her mom, her brother, her two undeserving step-sisters and their servants including marrying for money and not love. Running against her is her very loose tongue and penchant for saying whatever comes to her mind. When she meets someone who is her equal in nature, will she realize that she's grown attached to him before he selects someone else? Romance, comedy, a little bit of drama and a touch of the historical are in this book.
