Renee Winters is your average teenage girl with the school's most popular boy as her boyfriend and a popular, spunky girl as her bestfriend. Life is relaxed for Renee and her bestfriend, Annie, until one fateful day when they play hookie. After a day of the beach the girls head towards home. During the drive, Renee is inexplicably pulled to take another route home through a thickly forested area. The drive leads her to her parents' abandoned car and, later, their bodies. She immediately attracts the attention of the campus's brooding hottie with dark secrets of his own and sparks soon fly. Reminiscent of the Twilight series, fans will enjoy this love story with a twist. A word to the reader - this book is full of Latin (minus some translations) and a slew of vocabulary words that will possibly have you reaching for the dictionary.
