Swallow Me Whole, by Nate Powell

Swallow Me Whole, by Nate Powell, 216 pages

This graphic novel is a story of a family, and a story of mental illness.  The book is written ambiguously enough that it is up to the reader to decide if there are elements of magical realism, or just a straightforward and sad depiction of schizophrenia.  Older teens and adults might like this; I thought it was very sad.
