The Shining Girls, by Lauren Beukes, 368 pages
Kirby Mazrachi is just a normal young woman- except she should be dead. Kirby survived a savage attack, and lives to find the man that the police can't find. While Kirby thinks that she is tracking down an average attacker, she is actually tracking a crazed serial killer who travels through time. This is an engrossing work of fast-paced action, although it had some gory violence and abusive language, and time travel is a hard story element to make work.
