Odd Apocolypse: and Odd Thomas novel by Dean Koontz

Odd Apocalypse: and Odd Thomas novel by Dean Koontz, 2012, 355 pages
This novel finds Odd Thomas and Annamaria as guests at Roseland, the estate built by a long dead mogul from the silent movie era.
It seems like a good place. The grounds are well kept. The staff are a bit distant, yet helpful enough. There are bars on all the windows and heavy locks on the outside doors. Are the locks and bars to keep people in, or to keep something awful out?
As Odd Thomas takes a quiet walk around the grounds, a beautiful woman on a large horse rides up. The woman and the horse don't make a sound, and only Odd Thomas can see them.
The woman and the horse have been dead for a long time.
I like the Odd Thomas novels. Dean Koontz writes a gripping novel that is fun and quick to read.
