Odd
Interlude: a special Odd Thomas adventure- Dean Koontz, 2012, 279
pages
I
like Odd Thomas. A kid with 1950’s
sensibilities stuck in the 21st
century. Odd Thomas is a 20-something kid who survived the upbringing
of strikingly dysfunctional parents. He is a kid who sees dead people
and dead animals and things that had never, ever been alive. For Odd
Thomas, the supernatural isn’t
so much supernatural as it is something far too commonplace that
thrusts itself upon him without invitation.
The setting of this adventure is at a lovely little
place called Harmony Corner.
Harmony
Corner is a small road-side truck stop. A nice place where you can get a good meal and a place to rest
on your way to somewhere else.
Except
that Harmony Corner has been taken over by something very, very evil
