A Memory of Light by Robert Jordan and Brandon Sanderson

A Memory of Light by Robert Jordan and Brandon Sanderson - 912 pages
Final book in the Wheel of Time series

I broke one of my cardinal rules and broke down and bought this book so I could know right away how it all ends in the Wheel of Time series.  Sanderson has done an excellent job with fleshing out the last three books from Jordan's notes after he died.  There is resolution of the major storylines and finally, finally, finally we do get to experience "The Last Battle" after hearing about it for forever during the 20 years of the series.  Jordan's widow has expressed her wish that this is the end of the Wheel of Time universe and that there will be no franchising out of the name.  Most of me is sad to see it end but there is a part of me that is relieved that I won't have to feel an obligation to keep reading 900 page books that for a long stretch of the series only advanced the plot two days overall.
