Maggie is starting high school after being homeschooled her whole life. She is understandably nervous, especially as her brothers do not seem to want to help her in any way. In fact, they seem to distinctly dislike the only two friends she makes. Then there is also the fact that she is being haunted by a ghost that won't leave her alone.
I have enjoyed Hicks' work since I happened to stumble across her first graphic novel Zombies Calling. She always has a slightly unusual twist to her story lines. The only thing that slightly bothers me is that her heroines always look pretty much alike to me - however, that is a very small quibble in otherwise wonderful books.
