Affair by Amanda Quick

Affair by Amanda Quick - 340 pages

Charlotte Arkendale is looking for a new man of affairs.  She needs someone boring and unassuming that will be overlooked by everyone else.  She is amazed when the intriguing Baxter St. Ives applies for the position and assures her that everyone considers him as boring as "potato pudding".  She is unable to believe that face even when her sister and housekeeper assure her he is quite boring.  It's only when they find themselves in the middle of a murder investigation that she is able to make everyone else finally realize that St. Ives is the most interesting, intriguing man they've ever met.
I'm enjoying going through the Amanda Quick novels.  This was another fun, fast historical romance.
