Fifty Shades of Grey by E.L. James, 514 pages
Meet our main character with no backbone - Anastasia Steele (aka Bella Swan). Her roommate is sick and she is sent in her place to interview the world's most abusive and sadistic billionaire, Christian Grey (aka Edward Cullens). Somehow during the interview they both start obsessing about the other and fall in lust. Other than being good looking and controlling, Christian Grey is definitely not an Edward Cullens.Christian is
often extremely abusive of Anastasia Steele. One minute loving to her, the next hitting her or talking about how he wants to hurt her. He lives to punish her. Somehow the author thinks this kind of relationship is romantic? Are you serious? Yet, there are parts that are sweet and wonderful and
make you smile but don't blink or you'll miss them. This book is a
love/hate relationship. You'll love certain aspects of it, but then hate
how stupid Anastasia can be in staying with a
sick-minded, abusive, sadistic billionaire. If this book had more tenderness and less abuse, I would have
loved it. I won't be reading the rest of the series. If it ends like the Twilight series, we all know they'll live happily ever after in their messed up world and have a baby.
