When I get to the cabin and set up, I hear sounds coming from the basement. That’s when I see her. A young woman tied up and scared.

She cries out for me to help her. Before I can, Mike comes to the cabin early.

This was the 2nd book I've read by James Caine and it was very enjoyable. I really enjoyed it because it kept me guessing and I couldn't figure out who was "the bad guy" until it was too late. If you've never read him, his writing style reminds me of Freida McFadden.

I really liked this book because it kept me guessing and I would recommend this book if you like ghost stories. It was the first book I read by this author and would like to read more by her, but the other books she has out seem a little different and didn't sound like anything that would interest me.
