Enchanted Glass by Diana Wynne Jones - 292 pages
After his grandfather dies, Andrew Hope inherits a house and surrounding land in an English village, but things become very complicated when young orphan Aidan shows up and suddenly a host of variously magical townsfolk and interlopers start intruding on their lives.
I always enjoy Diana Wynne Jones' books. She is one of my favorite fantasy authors for kids. This book definitely did not disappoint. I really like it.

The Memory Prisoner by Thomas Bloor
The Memory Prisoner by Thomas Bloor - 132 pages
Maddie has not left the house since the day after visiting the library with her grandfather -- the day before her grandfather died and the library closed its doors to the public. Something she does not want to remember makes her stay in the house. Then her brother is selected as the new librarian's assistant and Maddie suspects that something is wrong. Now she must find the courage to leave the house and enter the library.
This was an interesting book. I always enjoy stories about evil librarians and this librarian was one of the most evil in books that I have read.
