Turtles All The Way Down by John Green

Turtles All The Way Down
by  John Green
286 pages

Read by: Kate Rudd

Sixteen-year-old Aza never intended to pursue the mystery of fugitive billionaire Russell Pickett, but there’s a hundred-thousand-dollar reward at stake and her best and most fearless friend, Daisy, is eager to investigate. So together, they navigate the short distance and broad divides that separate them from Russell Pickett’s son, Davis.

Aza is trying. She is trying to be a good daughter, a good friend, a good student, and maybe even a good detective, while also living within the ever-tightening spiral of her own thoughts.

I listened to the audio version of this book and enjoyed it very much.

I Don't Want To Be Crazy by Samantha Schutz

I Don't Want To Be Crazy by Samantha Schutz, 280 pages

Samantha writes in poem form with great detail about her personal experience with panic attacks and anxiety disorders she suffered when she left home for college.  I Don't Want To Be Crazy is a touching book for anyone experiencing panic attacks or for anyone who knows someone experiencing them.  This book is written for both teens and adults struggling to understand panic attacks and anxiety disorders.  Samantha writes with great honesty about  the medication she is prescribed and her journey to mental well being. All this she experiences while getting her college degree and dealing with becoming an adult. This was a great read!
