Violet Waverly is tricked by her grandma Daisey into returning home in order to run the magic store "Charming Books". The books in this store pick the patron. After a man is found dead clutching a book from grandma Daisy's shop, and Daisy is a suspect; Violet decides to stay on the clear her grandma's name with help from Emerson the cat and the book store itself.
