Together they pass through chophouses, stables, and clandestine tea rooms, tangling with the early Italian mafia, a mad professor of eugenics, and other shadowy figures, inching ever closer to the shocking truth behind the murder.

If you like historical fiction, I recommend this book. It did not grab and hold me where I couldn't put it down but it was good enough to pick t back up.
