Dead of Winter by Mary Alford, 101 pages
This is a small book, quick read by Mary which frankly I enjoy at times when I just don't have the time to get a large read in. This book has a bit of suspense, romance, and mystery. The story is set in Wind River Mountains, Wyoming just before Christmas. Most of the story takes place outside in the frigid harsh winter of Wyoming. Deputy Ava Harper struggles to find her missing bother with the help of her brother's former staff sergeant from their service in Afghanistan. As they are struggling to save Ava's brother in time, she is devastated to learn who all is involved in her brother's disappearance. The book is non-stop action. Enjoyed it.
