Thidwick is a big hearted moose who feels bad for other forest creatures and gives them shelter in his antlers, but it doesn't take long before word gets around and Thidwick's generosity begins to be taken advantage of. The animals who were not so nice get what is coming to them at the end of the book and Thidwick gets a new fresh start.
The story has a good message about not taking advantage of others kindnesses, but it is not one of my favorite Dr. Seuss books.
