Kissing Annabel by Steven Herrick - 138 pages
Jack is a 16 year-old boy living with his mother's ghost and in love with his classmate Annabel. With Annabel's help he is able to move past his mother's death. Together they travel and help Emma and her family.
This is a reprint of Steven Herrick's two books Love, Ghosts, and Facial Hair and A Place Like That. The story is told through poetry. It is a little confusing telling who is speaking during the different poems. It is also a little odd when the two books are combined as the first book is really the story of Jack while the second book is the story of Emma. I think it works better as two separate books than one combined book.
