The Forgiving Jar by Wanda E. Brunstetter

The Forgiving Jar by Wanda E. Brunstetter- 312 pages

In the first book Sara Murray found out after her mother passed away that she was raised Amish.  She set out to find her grandparents and found out someone was already pretending to be her in the community.  In the Forgiving Jar she spends the book trying to learn how to forgive her mother for hiding her heritage from her.  She is also trying to deal with the fact that her grandparents forgave Michelle, the girl who was pretending to be her, and are letting her live with them still.  She meets a guy who is in school to become a preacher and they grow a connection.  Meanwhile, she finds a jar full of  notes of scripture and starts to read them.  Between the scripture and connecting with the future preacher and talking to him about some of her feelings she is able to work through most of her hurt feeling.  She is able to make peace with Michelle and move on.  She also gets engaged to the preacher and finds herself in a great place at the end of the book.
