Boy Meets Boy by David Levithan

Boy Meets Boy by David Levithan - 218 pages

Paul has met the boy of his dreams.  Unfortunately, things keep getting in the way.  His best friend is dating a jerk and has dropped all her other friends.  His other best friend's parents have discovered his sexuality and have isolated him from everyone else.  He's in charge of the decorations for the upcoming school dance and must deal with feuding schoolmates.  And then there's the ex who have suddenly decided they're soulmates.

I did not care for this book.  While the characters and story were somewhat interesting, the book was too fantastical for me.  The town in the book is the most accepting town ever.  Every character is somewhere on the LGBTIA+ spectrum.  I guess it was just too unrealistic and idealistic for me.  I prefer a little more reality.
