Nick Lightfoot has been sent to get his family's company shares from Phila Fox as she inherits them from her childhood friend. Phila is determined to hang on to those shares until she has her questions answered about her friend's death. Now Nick and Phila are spending the month with the Lightfoots and Castletons at their summer homes as they both try to use the others for their own ends while fighting their attraction to each other.
An enjoyable read by Jayne Ann Krentz. It's a little preachy at times about gun control and other social issues but it fits into the story.
