As You Wish: Inconceivable Tales from the Making of the Princess Bride by Cary Elwes with Joe Layden

As You Wish: inconceivable Tales from the Making of the Princess Bride by Cary Elwes with Joe Layden-259 pages

I have seen the movie a few times and love it. It is so tongue-in-cheek and witty, yet serious. I really enjoyed reading this book about Cary's experience making the film and its reception immediately following its release up until today. It has really become a classic film for so many people. It was cool to learn about how the film was made and the care and heart that went into making it. I enjoyed Cary's description of his cast mates. It is really cool that Cary and Mandy Patinkin did all of the sword-fighting with no stunt doubles (other than the acrobatics). Overall, it was really cool to read about the making of the film and what each cast member experienced and felt and thought during and following production.
