Gage knows that it's time to finish off the demon that has tormented his hometown for one week in the summer every seven years. He knows they'll succeed in defeating it. He just isn't sure he'll make it through the battle.
This is the final book in the Sign of Seven trilogy. It was a pretty good ending to the series. There was never really doubt that all the main characters would survive as it is a romance trilogy, but it still played up the suspense.
