
You know, someone referred to these books on Goodreads as "insipid." Probably the same sort of person who doesn't see the worth in Owly books (there aren't words!). I just feel the need to say that these books combine learning to read simple words with learning to read pictures and body language- and BOTH are valuable skills for young people. Along with the "lesson" of sharing- and because there isn't much in the way of background art or whatnot, these books are more about the story/reading than many other picture books. Simply put, I love these and I will defend them all day long.
