Ellie Lyndon is simply walking down the road when a strange man falls out of a tree and onto her feet. She is shocked to discover it is a drunken Lord Charles Wycombe. She is even more shocked when he proposes marriage as he must be married within a couple weeks to keep his father's inheritance. Only one day later she accepts his unusual proposal as she needs to escape her father's house. Now they must somehow make this unusual marriage work.
I really enjoyed this book. There was a lot of humor in the characters and the story.
