Title: Jay's Journal; Author: Anonymous; Pages: 240
Intro: This book started off very slow, but managed to pick up the pace enough to make me want to finish reading it.
Synopsis: Jay starts to keep his own journal when he receives one as a gift. He is brutally honest throughout the journal. Jay encounters the basic troubles of a teen; love, family, friends, and the future. He eventually falls into the world of occult, with a sampling of drugs. He becomes addicted to all things occult and even dates a girl that is even more into the occult than he is. It becomes his addiction. The ending is the climax and the book ends quickly.
Review: This book is from the teen fiction section. Perhaps if I was a teen, I would have found the book to be more entertaining. The book was not difficult to read, but it was difficult to get involved with or empathize with the protagonist. I'd recommend this book to teens, but that's about all.
