You Can Never Find a Rickshaw When It Monsoons: The World on One Cartoon a Day by Mo Willems - 396 pages
When his parents won't pay for his college to get an animation degree, Mo Willems decides to travel the world for a year instead. His only directive is that he must draw a cartoon each night before bed -- whatever comes to mind from the day when he sits down to draw. This book contains the daily cartoons he drew along with his commentary fifteen years later.
I really enjoyed this book. I found it when I was going through the library's listings of Mo Willem titles for a story time I was doing. I was amazed to find that he had written a book for adults and determined to read it no matter what it was about. His illustrations have not changed much over the year. His captions are amusing and the commentaries both insightful and hilarious. He had several adventures while backpacking around Europe and Asia. A fun book for adult fans of Mo Willems.
