John Waters, director of movies such as Hairspray and Pink Flamingos, is a really fascinating guy. In this book he describes his personal "role models"- many of whom I have never heard of, but all of whom have really fascinating stories. By describing his role models, this also provides a look into the life of Waters, himself- who can be described by many adjectives- but "normal" is not one of them.
