Jack of Fables 7: The New Adventures of Jack and Jack, by Bill Willingham

Jack of Fables 7: The New Adventures of Jack and Jack, by Bill Willingham, 128 pages

Jack Horner, ne’er do well of renown, is developing an unusual appetite, losing hair, and his sidekick Gary notices that he’s growing a tail.  Jack Frost, unrecognized son of Jack Horner and the Snow Queen, decides to take off for parts unknown and become a hero, which can be surprisingly complicated.  Jack Frost is a far more likeable character than his father, which is what keeps me reading.  Apparently, there was a Jack/Fables crossover before this volume, which explains Jack Frost’s arrival and the literaries’ loss of power, but I read it out of order. Shame on me.
