Jack of Fables, Americana ,
Volume 4, by Bill Willingham, 128 pages
This Jack adventure was interesting. Jack, Raven, Gary
and Hillary Page are searching for treasure, and it takes them through such
settings of Americana as Antebellum, Big City ,
and Steamboat. I liked the traipsing
through American genres- it was very well-done.
Jack is still scummy, and we find out how much so in this volume. More importantly, Hillary searches for the
librarian she believes is her father, who turns out to not be her father, and
is the very opposite of a librarian. I
have a feeling he is going to be a major nemesis in this series.
