Usually when a thief is caught trying to pickpocket a wizard he dies. Instead, Conn finds himself as the wizard's apprentice. Now he just has to find his magicalicus, convince everyone that he isn't a spy for the town's criminal Underlord, and save all the magic from dying in town.
I enjoyed this book. It was very quick and fun to read. It would be great for elementary kids. I look forward to finding the next two books in the series.
