Foul Play by Janet Evanovich, 228 pages.   This was a fun, light, and romantic read that I read in a weekend.  Janet Evanovich's books are always fun and entertaining and usually only take a day or two to read and are something you can pick up and put down at any time.  This book was one of her first romantic novels.   When Amy Klasse aka Lulu the Clown loses her on air hosting job to a rooster, veterinarian Jake Elliot comes to her rescue.  What ensues is a funny adventure with a little mystery thrown in.  When the rooster mysteriously disappears under Jake's care, everyone is quick to blame Amy who is now working as Jake's receptionist.   The end has a surprising twist with a happy ending.
