American Vampire Volume 2, by Scott Snyder
American Vampire Volume 2, by Scott Snyder, 160 pages
This is definitely a graphic novel for adults, and the vampires are way more scary than anything you'll find in Twilight. It picks up right where volume one left off, with Skinner Sweet now owning most of the sin in burgeoning Las Vegas and contending with a young police chief who thinks Sweet killed his father. There's some mystery and history in this volume, as well as a very creepy (but promising) glimpse into where Pearl's old roommate, Hattie, is now. This volume carries through on the promise of volume 1 that this is a series to command attention. It would not be advisable to read this series from anywhere but the beginning.
