When the egg is finally removed after returning the village to normal, the smurfs find that the magic egg is no longer because it has hatched into a rooster!

Baker Smurf has an emergency! He is short one egg for the cake he is baking! Papa smurf decides to send Smiley and Grouchy Smurf to the hen-house to get another egg, but he warns them to be careful not to get caught by the mother hen. After a failed attempt Smiley and Grouchy finally get an egg for the cake but when they get back they find the egg will not work because it is beginning to hatch! Papa Smurf saves the day with a special cake recipe that does not need any eggs at all!!
