Pathfinder by Angie Sage - 384 pages
Alice Todhunter Moon is alone in the world with a hated aunt after her dad disappears one day while out fishing. She doesn't think her life could get much worse -- until it does. One night her Aunt Mitza sends garmin after her and she barely escapes. This sets off an adventure of kidnappings, wizards, evil sorcerers, snow princesses, and more.
This is the first book in the Todhunter Moon series. It follows the Septimus Heap series taking place seven years after the end of that series. It includes many characters from Septimus Heap and introduces several new ones as well. It was a great first book for the follow-up. The audio was very well done. I really enjoyed the narration.

Pathfinder by Angie Sage
Pathfinder by Angie Sage - 461 pages
Book One - Todhunter Moon series
Tod's life is thrown into chaos when both her father and her best friend disappears. When her evil aunt sends monsters after Tod she must escape with her best friend's brother Oskar and try to rescue not just her friend but also her whole village. To do it she will travel to the Castle, discover magic, and go on a quest to the frozen north.
I have been waiting for this book to come out for over a year. It is the first in a new series by the author of the Septimus Heap books. In fact it takes place in the same world with some of the same characters - only seven years later. I really liked this book and look forward to the others in the series.
