As usual, Matt Kindt makes you think one thing is going on, when it turns out to be the opposite.  Who is Meru- what is her real story, and why doesn't Henry Lyme tell her?  Who else is on the Mind Management team, and what are the Immortals after- who are they working for?  The action continues in this second volume, and more secrets come to light.  Lots of travel and adventure, as usual.

Meru is a struggling writer, looking for material for her next book.  Not a very interesting story, right?  But then Meru stumbles across a super secret spy network made up of mind-manipulators and others with supernatural abilities, and finds out some secrets about her own past.

Matt Kindt is a local author, which is a good enough reason to check this out.  But he's also a great artist with a distinct style and I just LOVE the spy angle that he's very good at incorporating.
