These Happy Golden Years by Laura Ingalls Wilder

These Happy Golden Years by Laura Ingalls Wilder - 289 pages

This entry in the Little House books really focuses on Laura and Almanzo's courtship.  I decided to continue listening to the series on audio and chose this as my next book.  It has always been my favorite book in the series and that remains true in the audio version.

Ten Things I Love About You by Julia Quinn

Ten Things I Love About You by Julia Quinn - 377 pages

Sebastian Grey's role in society is precarious.  He is his uncle's heir.  However, his uncle hates him and is determined to wed again and have another son so Sebastian can not inherit.  His uncle has decided on Annabel Winslow.  The problem is that once Sebastian meets Annabel he doesn't want her to have anything to do with his uncle.
This is the follow-up book to What Happens in London.  It continues the subplot of the gothic novels which was so entertaining in the first book.  I didn't think this book was as good as the first, but it was still interesting to read.

What Happens in London by Julia Quinn

What Happens in London by  Julia Quinn - 372 pages

When Olivia Bevelstoke is told that her new neighbor murdered his fiance, she doesn't believe the gossip.  However she decides to spy on him just to make sure.  Sir Harry Valentine has no idea why the neighbor's daughter is spying on him.  Sure he works for the War Office translating documents, but he isn't a real spy.  Until the Office asks him to keep an eye on Olivia Bevelstoke and the Russian prince that is courting her.
I thought this book was pretty funny.  I loved the subplot about the gothic novels that play a role in the story.  A great historical romance.
