MSCHMITT-- The Cow Loves Cookies, Karma Wilson, 40
Everyone knows that horses eat hay and cows eat cookies? This is a cute book of farmyard animals and what they do (and maybe shouldn't) eat.

Bean Dog and Nugget by Charise Mericle Harper
Bean Dog and Nugget: The Ball by Charise Mericle Harper - 45 pages
Bean Dog and Nugget: The Cookie by Charise Mericle Harper - 45 pages
Charise Mericle Harper has written one of my all-time favorite picture books - Cupcake - so I was excited to find that she was writing a series of very easy graphic novels for young children. These books show her slightly odd sense of humor which I love.
In The Ball, Bean Dog and Nugget try to get a lost ball out of a bush by throwing in their shoes and then attacking it as a superhero and ninja. In The Cookie, Nugget tricks Bean Dog into thinking she has an invisible donut.
I thought The Cookie was the better of the two books. The snarky comments between the two characters reminds me of me and my friends. I hope more of these books are published.
