The Christmas Promise by Donna Vanliere

The Christmas Promise by Donna Vanliere 206 pages I began reading this series over the holidays because I had seen the movies that the first 2 books were made into. But now I am hooked. Each book has at least one character from the original story and they intertwine together. I enjoy reading Inspirational books especially Christmas books. So I guess now I'll be reading Christmas books until i finish the whole series. Heartwarming realistic fiction. Taking what he hopes will be his first long-term job, lonely department store security officer Chaz McConnell reaches out to a four-year-old child, while Gloria Bailey, a charity worker who has taken in a single pregnant woman and a cantankerous senior, struggles with ensuing personality clashes.

The Christmas Hope by Donna VanLiere

The Christmas Hope by Donna VanLiere 213 Pages I am really enjoying this series and author. The first 2 books were turned into movies and I loved the books and the movies. This one touched my heart because my daughter is a social worker and I know how hard her job is to see children suffer. This story mixes real life with Christian ethics. I enjoyed the realistic fiction Christmas stories and seeing characters from one story show up in another book. I think I'll read the rest of the series now! Meeting a troubled five-year-old girl during the holiday season, social worker Patricia Addison and her husband, Mark, find themselves working through past sorrows and reevaluating their faith.

Christmas Blessing by Donna Van Liere

Christmas Blessing by Donna VanLiere 212 pages I have seen this movie before and wanted to read the book. I usually read the book before I see the movie, but this time I did it backwards. Of course the book was so much better than the movie. The story was so insprirational and just right for the holiday. I recommend this to anyone who would like a light hearted Christmas story. It is the sequel to The Christmas Shoes, but even if you haven't read that book, this one will still make sense to you. In The Christmas Shoes, young Nathan Andrews was a child who lost his mother to cancer. Now his deepest wish is to become a doctor. When a stranger named Robert gave him the money to buy his mother a pair of shoes for her last Christmas, both Robert and Nathan learned the deepest lessons of love and giving. Now a medical student in his third year, Nathan realizes there are still things to be learned about faith, blessings, and sacrifice. Lessons he will learn from Meghan Sullivan-a young woman born with a hole in her heart that has not kept her from becoming a champion runner. And lessons learned from a young boy named Charlie, who teaches how to live a life of true courage. Together, they will help guide Nathan through the darkest period in his life. The Christmas Blessing is an inspiring story about hope existing in the darkest places, and love is always the greatest gift of all.

The Christmas Note by Donna VanLiere

The Christmas Note by Donna VanLiere 208 pages Relocating to an apartment with her two children to be closer to her mother, Gretchen offers to help clear out the home of a reclusive neighbor's recently deceased mother and discovers that the neighbor, Melissa, has two siblings and an identity that she never suspected. It is always interesting to read a book with your own name in it. This was a Christmas story about finding lost family in an unusual way. Very cool to read.
