The Stitching Hour

The Stitching Hour by Amanda Lee 286 pages

Marcy is the owner of the embroidery shop "The Seven Year Stitch," and it is coming up on its one year anniversary. Next door to her shop, a few weeks before Halloween, a haunted house is opened. It is run by the very eccentric couple Claude and Priscilla Atwood. The Atwoods invite all the local shop owners to a grand opening, which goes very well, until there is a murder!!

Marcy with the help of her friends from the town and her detective boyfriend try to solve the mystery.

This was an awful book. The idea is cute, but the main character Marcy was so annoying. About 90% of the book is Marcy gossiping with anyone and everyone who will listen to her. There was also way to many characters to keep track of and most of them weren't even of any significance, just more names to remember and get confused by.
