This is a Spencer novel by Robert Parker. It is about a man who hires Spencer to find his wife that left and the trouble that Spencer finds when he gets involved. She is involved in a bank robbery and murder, he is being blackmailed and Spencer needs to figure out how to get them out from under those issues and back together.
